Cambridge, Mass. - The Trinity College men's indoor track and field team competed in the New England Division III Championships on Saturday at Tufts University, finishing 22nd out of 27 competing schools. Junior captain Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) earned All-New England honors by placing seventh in the 600-meter run with a finals time of 1:23.46 while fellow junior captain just missed All-New England honors with his 12th place finish in the 1,000-meter run, finishing in 2:34.92. Sophomore Jack McInnis (North Andover, Mass.) earned a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.63, finishing just .39 seconds off the first-place time. Trinity's 4x400-meter relay team, composed of Larsson, junior Daniel Hughes (Hagley, England), and sophomores Ben Feola (Woodbridge, Conn.) and Luke Mayer (Morristown, N.J.), took ninth place with a 3:28.35 finish.
The team will next compete in the New England Open Championships next weekend at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury, Mass.
