North Dartmouth, Mass. - Sophomore Luke Mayer (Morristown, N.J.) came in second place in both the 110- and the 400-meter hurdles, as the Trinity College Bantams came in ninth place of 15 Division III teams in the Corsair Classic Men's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational at the University of Massachusetts-Darmouth this afternoon. Trinity totaled 34 points to finish 12 points ahead of 10th-place Roger Williams and 13 behind eighth-place Fitchburg State. The host Corsairs won the team title with 116 points. Mayer posted a time of 15.83 in the 110-meter hurdles and finished the 400-meter hurdles in 57.85. Trinity sophomore Gabriel Julien (Glastonbury, Conn.) came in third place in the 5,000-meter run with a tome of 16:04.42, and rookie Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) was sixth in the 1,500-meter run at 4:09.21.
