Trinity Men's Outdoor Track And Field Ties For 14th In New England Division III Championship Meet

Cambridge, Mass. - Sophomore Ace McAlister (Great Barrington, Mass.) came in second place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:50.58 to a tie with Babson for 16th place among 30 scoring teams in the New England Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this weekend.  McAlister was one of five Trinity individuals to earn All-New England recognition in the meet, just one week after capturing the 5,000-meter title in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships.

Trinity sophomore Luke Mayer (Morristown, N.J.) set a new Trinity record with his third-place time of 15.07 in the 110-meter hurdles, improving .26 seconds from yesterday's preliminary heat and besting the previous Bantam mark of 15.12 set by Geoff Bocobo in 2015.  Bantam junior Joe Ruggiero (Manchester, Conn.) placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:41.17, while senior co-captain Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) was eighth in the 800-meter run at 1:53.95 and junior Alex Tomcho (Windsor, Conn.) came in eighth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.08 to round out the All-New England performances by the Bantams.
