Norte And Moorhead Lead Trinity Men's XC-Country To Second at NESCAC Meet
New Gloucester, Maine - Senior co-captains Hunter Norte (Ellington, Conn.) and Sam Moorhead (Dedham, Mass.) finished fourth and 10th, respectively, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a second-place finish in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Cross Country Championships this afternoon at Pineland Farms. Norte recorded a time of 25:51 and Moorhead came in at 26:13, as Trinity, ranked No. 19 in the nation, totaled 85 points to edge No. 8-ranked Amherst by eight. Williams College won the meet with 44 points.
The Bantams boated six runners in the top 35, as sophomore Brendan Powers (Middleton, Mass.) was 18th at 26:27, freshman Michael Burnstein (Brookline, Mass.) was 21st at 26:30, sophomore Blake Fisher (Naperville, Ill.) was 32nd at 26:51, and classmate Wesley Halstead (Woodbridge, Conn.) was 35th at 26:57.
