Trinity Softball Upends Framingham State To Split First Day Of The Season

Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore 1B Nicole Nardella (Beverly, Mass.) singled home the game-tying and game-winning runs in the top of the seventh inning to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 4-3 win over the Framingham State College Rams in Rebel Spring Games softball action this afternoon.  Trinity, which also dropped an 8-3 decision earlier today in its season opener, is 1-1.  Coast Guard ends its spring break at 8-2 and Framingham State closes the day at 0-2.

Freshman RHP Katherine Poulos (Wilton, Conn.) allowed seven hits in a complete-game effort in the circle to earn the victory in her collegiate debut.  Nardella and freshman C Kristina Yu (Andover, Mass.) had two hits apiece for the Trinity offense.
