Trinity Softball Gains Sweep, Larese Collects Seven RBI In First Game Of The Day
Kissimmee, Fla. - Senior RHP Gabrielle Sergi (Walpole, Mass.) tossed a three-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks and sophomore Taylor Larese (Southington, Conn.) went 3-for-3 with seven RBI to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 10-1 win over the Rutgers University-Newark Scarlet Raiders in Rebel Spring Games softball action this afternoon. Trinity, which also downed Washington and Jefferson today, 7-3, are now 4-2. Against Washington and Jefferson, freshman righty Lindsay Gibbons (Basking Ridge, N.J.) won in relief, as Trinity came back from a 3-1 deficit after three innings with four runs in the top if the fourth frame.
