Hartford, Conn., July 18, 2012 – Trinity College first-year 2B Miranda Riendeau-Card (Bowdoinham, Maine) was named to the 2012 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Softball All-Conference Second Team. Trinity Softball Closes Year With Sweep At Worcester State
Worcester, Mass. - Trinity College freshman Miranda Riendeau-Card (Bowdoinham, Maine) went 6-for-6 with a pair of doubles, two homers, five runs and six RBI to lead the visiting Bantams to a sweep against the Worcester State University Lancers, 9-0 in five innings and 8-7, in softball action this evening. Trinity sees their 2012 campaign come to an end at 15-18 while it marked the regular season finale for the Lancers who will host Westfield State on Thursday in the opening round of the MASCAC Softball Tournament.

Trinity Softball Falls To Colby Despite Poulos' Stellar Pitching Effort
Hartford, Conn. - Freshman pitcher Megan Michie (Falls Church, Va.) threw a five-hit shutout in a 1-0 Colby College victory over the Trinity College Bantams in the first game of a three-game set in Hartford this afternoon. Michie struck out five and only allowed one runner to reach scoring position after the second inning. Trinity drops to 12-17 overall and 2-8 in the NESCAC despite a stellar five-hitter in a losing effort by senior co-captain RHP Katherine Poulos (Wilton, Conn.).

Brunswick, Maine - The Bowdoin College Polar Bear softball team pounded out 20 runs, 31 hits and 11 extra base hits to take a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Trinity College Bantams this afternoon, 7-0, and 13-5. The Polar Bears improve to 20-8 overall and 3-3 in the NESCAC and complete a three-game weekend sweep of their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division foe. Trinity Softball Falls Victim To Perfect Game Pitching Effort At Tufts
Medford, Mass. - First-year pitcher Allyson Fournier (South Windsor, Conn.) was perfect as the No. 17-ranked Tufts University softball team blanked the Trinity College Bantams, 8-0, in six innings in NESCAC East play on Friday afternoon at Spicer Field. Fournier retired all 18 batters she faced, striking out nine of them. She extends her unbeaten start to 9-0 and lowers her ERA to 0.61.
