Hartford, Conn., July 18, 2012 – Trinity College first-year 2B Miranda Riendeau-Card (Bowdoinham, Maine) was named to the 2012 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Softball All-Conference Second Team. Trinity, coached by Caitlin Hitchcock (10th Season), finished the year with a 15-18 record and a 3-9 mark in the NESCAC East Division.
Riendeau-Card batted .337 with a College-record 10 home runs (2nd in NESCAC), 23 runs, and a team-high 27 RBI for the Bantams this spring. Starting all 30 games she played, Riendeau-Card had 29 hits in 86 at-bats with five doubles, 10 walks, a.404 on-base percentage, and a team-high .744 slugging percentage. Her 0.33 home runs per game ranked Riendeau-Card No. 5 in the nation. A graduate of Mount Ararat High School, she is the daughter of Robin Riendeau and Jerry Card.
