Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior co-captain Ariana Mullin (Woodbridge, Conn.) was selected for the ESPN The Magazine 2009 Academic All-District Softball First Team, and joins senior co-captain Stacy Hathcox (Woodinville, Wash.) on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2009 Spring All-Academic Team.

Willimantic, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams lost both games of their season-ending softball doubleheader this evening against the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors, 5/1-2/0.

Trinity Softball Loses At Wesleyan

Middletown, Conn. - Junior Meaghan Dendy tossed a one-hitter, yielding one unearned run, and scored two runs herself to pace the Wesleyan University Cardinals to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in softball action this afternoon.





Trinity's strong softball tradition dates from 1984. The squad has improved steadily under the tutelage of Head Coach Caitlin Hitchcock and contends for the NESCAC East Division title each spring. Pre-season preparation begins in the fall, and spring practices start in February with indoor workouts in the field house. The team takes an annual trip in March to a warmer climate, where it plays 10 to 12 games against some of the toughest teams in Division III softball.
