Trinity Women's Basketball Slams St. Joseph
Hartford, Conn. - First-year guard Carly Napier (Pittsford, N.Y.) scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out six assists to lead the Trinity College Bantam women's basketball team to an 86-18 win over the visiting Saint Joseph College Bluejays in women's basketball action at Oosting Gymnasium this evening. The Bantams improve to 9-2 with their seventh straight win, while the Bluejays fall to 3-6.
The Bantams held the Bluejays without a field goal in the first 13:15 and just two field goals in the first half, carrying a 45-7 lead into the locker room at the break. Sophomore guard Michelle Royals (Torrington, Conn.) scored 12 points and added four rebounds and three steals, while first-year guard Brittney Huffman (West Hartford, Conn.) scored seven points and dealt five assists for the Bantams. Sophomore Samantha Royce (Portland, Conn.) scored five points, and added four rebounds, three steals, and two assists to highlight the Bluejays stat sheet.
