This Week: The Trinity College women's basketball team split its first two games of the season last weekend at the Curry College Tip-Off tournament in Milton, Mass. The Bantams fell to the MIT Engineers, 69-47, before coming back the next day to breeze past Pine Manor, 71-46. Trinity returns to action on Sunday in its lone game of the week at fellow Hartford school St. Joseph.

St. Joseph Series History: Trinity is 12-3 against the Blue Jays dating back to the 1996-97 season.
Last Trinity win against the Blue Jays: Trinity beat St. Joseph, 69-59, last season in Oosting Gymnasium. Senior co-captain Sheena Landy led the way with 16 points and six rebounds for the Bantams.
- Sophomore Becky Reifler was named to the All-Tournament team over the weekend after solid performances in both games. Against MIT, Reifler scored 11 points on 5-8 shooting to go along with a pair of steals, assists, and three rebounds, folllowed by a career-high 14 points on 7-12 shooting from the field and eight rebounds the following day.
- Junior forward Emily Llerena is second on the team, averaging eight points per contest off the bench for Trinity. Llerena is shooting over 65% from the field in just 15 minutes per contest.
- First-years Peace Kabari and Emily Peters have made an immediate impact for Trinity to start the season. The duo share a team-lead in rebounds (6.0 per game) and combine to average nearly 12 points per contest.
- The Bantams open the season with five straight road games before their home opener on December 5 against Coast Guard.
