Wolfpack Exhibition Game to Sponsor Ryan Gordon Fund at Trinity College
Hartford, Conn. - Donations will be collected at the door in lieu of an admission charge, which will be donated to The Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund, along with all proceeds from snack bar sales at an exhibition game between the Hartford Wolfpack and the Worcester Sharks on Williams Rink at Trinity College's Koeppel Community Center this Wed., Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.
The Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolfpack Community Scholars Fund at Trinity provides scholarships for Hartford children participating in Learn to Play Hockey programs at the Koeppel Community Sports Center. The Fund was established in memory of Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that his college savings be used for the benefit others. Suggested admission donation is $5 per person. Donations will be collected at the door and no advance tickets will be sold.
The event is also the official kickoff for the Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey, and Learn to Speed Skate programs at Trinity College. The programs begin on Nov. 1, 2008, and Trinity will be holding a free pre-game clinic at 3:30 p.m. for anyone interested in registering for them. The clinic will be held with the support of the Trinity men's and women's ice hockey teams. The Boys and Girls Club of Hartford will be represented, and children from the Hartford community are welcome, free of charge.
The Ryan Gordon/Wolfpack Scholarship recipient will have the opportunity to participate in any of the skating programs offered at the Koeppel Center over the course of the year. All applications will be considered.

The Koeppel Community Sports Center is a multi-use athletic facility on the southern edge of campus. It features the Albert Creighton Williams '64 Rink, a state of the art 200' x 90' ice arena that serves as home-ice for Trinity men's and women's ice hockey teams, and provides opportunities for faculty, students, and staff to collaborate with the community through academic and athletic mentoring programs.
