Trinity's Gleason Earns NESCAC All-Academic Honors For Women's Ice Hockey


Hartford, Conn., July 30, 2009 - Trinity College women's ice hockey junior Hadley Gleason (Boston, Mass.) was selected for the 2009 NESCAC Winter All-Academic squad.  Each NESCAC All-Academic honoree must be varsity letterwinner and maintain at least a 3.35 grade-point average.

The Trinity women's ice hockey team, under Head Coach Andrew McPhee (7th Season), finished the 2008-09 season with a 13-10-1 overall record and an 8-7-1 mark in the NESCAC.  The Bantams finished in third place in the conference and qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the fourth time in the last five years and the third year in a row.  Hosting a post-season game for the second time, Trinity lost to Connecticut College, 2-1, in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. 

Gleason recorded four assists while playing in 24 games and helping the Trinity defense limit opponents to 2.29 goals per game. A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, Gleason is majoring in biology at Trinity.  She is the daughter of Suna Murray and Langham Gleason.
