Colman-McGaw Gives Trinity Women's Ice Hockey Win Over St. Olaf With Late Goal

Hartford, Conn. - Freshman forward Celia Colman-McGaw (Manchester, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal with 11:09 remaining in the third period to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 2-1 win over the visiting St. Olaf College Oles in women's ice hockey action this afternoon at Williams Rink.  Trinity improves to 10-6-2, while the Oles fall to 6-8-4.

Colman-McGaw scored the clincher from junior forward Britney McKenna (Rye, N.H.) and sophomore forward Jill Roloff (West Seneca, N.Y.), after the Oles had tied the game at 1-1 on a second-period goal by sophomore Meghan Stumpf (Oakdale, Minn.).  McKenna had given Trinity a 1-0 lead with a late goal in the first frame.  Bantam sophomore Hilly Novik (Lakeville, Conn.) finished with 21 saves and junior Jessica Ptachick (Burnsville, Minn.) stopped 50 shots for St. Olaf, which took the first game of the weekend two-game series, 2-0, last night.
