Carson Duggan, who guided Trinity to a 15-11 overall record and a 9-7 mark in the NESCAC as interim coach in 2011-12, was appointeed as the team's full-time head coach in the spring of 2012. Elevated to the interim position in late September after one season as an assistant coach at Trinity, Duggan navigated the Bantams through an extremely tough schedule, rebounding from a 1-6 record during the fall semester to post a 13-4 mark over the final 17 games of the regular season. Trinity earned a home game in the NESCAC Championship Tournament, defeated Hamilton, 3-1, in the quarterfinals to make its third straight appearance in the NESCAC Final Four, and closed the winter with a 4-1 loss at Middlebury. Duggan was selected by her peers as the NESCAC Coach of the Year and by the media as the New England Hockey Writers Division II/III Coach of the Year.
Duggan, who finished her playing career at St. Lawrence University team with one of the most decorated resumes in school history, graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2009, and was the first St. Lawrence player to score over 100 career goals. She was ECAC Hockey’s Co-Rookie of the Year in 2006, the first St. Lawrence player to receive that honor. Duggan was also a three-time ECAC Hockey All-Academic team member and was named as the Saints’ Most Valuable Player and the St. Lawrence's Martha Finch Female Athlete of the Year in 2009. She added a master's degree from Trinity in economics in May. A native of Ma-Me-O-Beach, Alberta, Duggan resides in West Hartford.
