Trinity Women's Lacrosse Faces Cortland State In First NCAA Final Four Saturday

Hartford, Conn., May 16, 2012 –The Trinity College women's lacrosse team, which captured the NCAA Division III Regional Championship title over the weekend with a 17-6 win over Buffalo State and a 7-5 win against Colby, will make its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Final Four when the Bantams face the Cortland State Red Dragons on Saturday, May 19 at Montclair State University.

Hartford, Conn. – Juniors Megan Leonhard (Summit, N.J.) and Hadley Duncan (Rye, N.Y.) scored twice each and the Trinity College defense held the Colby College offense to just eight shots, as the Bantams earned a 7-5 victory over the Mules in the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship Quarterfinals this afternoon on Robin Sheppard Field.

Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College Bantams led wire to wire in a 17-6 victory over the visiting Buffalo State College Bengals in an NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Championship Second Round game this afternoon on Robin Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 4 in the nation, improves to 18-1, tying the College-record for wins set last spring, and advances to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the third straight year and the seventh time in its history.

Hartford, Conn., May 11, 2012 –The Trinity College women's lacrosse team, which won easily against Bridgewater State, 16-1, on Wednesday in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament First Round to improve to 17-1 with its fourth victory in a row, has advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship Tournament and will host the event on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13.
