Trinity Wrestling Drops Pair At Wesleyan
Middletown, Conn. - Senior tri-captain 141-pounder Jacob Gire (Union City, Calif.) won his matches by a combined score of 21-9, although the Trinity College Bantams suffered losses to the Roger Williams University Hawks, 20-15, and the host and No. 24-ranked Wesleyan University Cardinals, 28-12, in a wrestling tri-match this evening. Wesleyan also downed Roger Williams, 24-12. Trinity falls to 1-4. Sophomore Greg Vaughan (Hingham, Mass.) also won both his matches in the heavyweight division for the Bantams, including a 4-2 triumph against Ben Kissane, of Roger Williams, to give Trinity a 15-11 lead with two bouts remaining although the Hawks took both to win the match by five points.
