Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The visiting Trinity College Bantams won two of three matches in a wrestling quad match at Wilkes University this afternoon, downing the Rochester Institute of Technology, 28-20, and the Gettysburg College Bullets, 27-7, before dropping a 34-10 decision against the Wilkes. The Bantams are now 4-6. Trinity swept the three heaviest divisions, as sophomore 184-pounder William Youngblood (Bernardsville, N.J.), freshman 197-pounder Petros Hologitas (Rockland, Mass.), and junior heavyweight Greg Vaughn (Hingham, Mass.) were each 3-0 for the day. The Bantams trailed Gettysburg, 7-0, and RIT, 20-4, before coming back to take both matches. Hologitas won, 10-3, in the second-to-last bout to give Trinity a 22-20 lead against RIT, and Vaughn finished the match with a pin.
