Trinity Wrestling Takes Fourth At NEWA Futures Tournament
Bristol, R.I. - Freshman heavyweigtht Kyle McGuire (Mansfield, Mass.) won his division title, downing rookie teammate Michael Cyr (Scarborough, Maine) in the finals, to lead the Trinity College Bantam wrestling team to fourth place in the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Futures Tournament this afternoon at Roger Williams University. Bantam junior Daniel Lofrese (Stewart Manor, N.Y.) finished as the 149-pound runner-up, while classmate Kyle Muir (Barre, Mass.) earned third place in the 174-pound tournament, and rookie Cary Jones (New York, N.Y.) was fourth in the 197-pound bracket.
