Trinity's Sorensen Competes In NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships

Cleveland, Ohio - Trinity College junior captain Grant Sorensen (Moore, Okla.) lost his first two matches in the 149-pound bracket of the NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships today at the Public Auditorium.  Sorensen, who became the first Bantam since 2014 to qualify for the NCAA Championships with ab automatic entry after placing third in the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships in February, lost his first match, 12-3, against top-seeded Cross Cannone, of Wartburg.  In the consolation bracket, Sorensen was edged by Stevens Techs Dylan Van Sickell, 5-4, ending the Bantams' chances of figuring in the team scoring.  Sorensen completes his historic season with a final record of 34-7.
