Trinity Women's Rowing Finishes Second To Bates In Five-Boat Race
Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantam women's varsity eight crew finished second in a five-boat race on Lake Quinsigamond this afternoon. The Bantams posted a time of 6:53.99, which was 6.31 seconds behind first-place Bates and 5.74 seconds ahead of Division I New Hampshire in third. Vassar and Mills followed in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Bates was ranked No. 2 and Trinity was ranked No. 3 entering the race. Trinity's third varsity eight won its three-boat race by 1.01 seconds over Bates and several seconds ahead of New Hampshire, while the Bantam second varsity eight finished second to Bates and ahead of New Hampshire in its three-boat race.
