Trinity Women's Rowing Races Nationally-Ranked Teams, Takes Second
Worcester, Mass. – The Trinity College women’s varsity eight crew finished second in a six-boat race on Lake Quinsigamond this afternoon, recording a time of 7:02 flat which was a half second behind first-place Bates and 3.1 seconds faster than third-place Wellesley. Trinity’s crew entered the race ranked No. 5 in the nation, while Bates was No. 3 and Wellesley was No. 4.
The Bantam third varsity eight won its race at 7:38.7 against Bates, Wellesley, and Worcester Tech at 7:38.7 which was almost 10 seconds faster than second-place Bates. Trinity’s novice eight won its race against Wellesley, Holy Cross, and Worcester Tech with a time of 7:29.1 which was more than 18 seconds faster than the second-place boat. Trinity’s second varsity eight was third at 7:28.5, and its varsity four was third at 9:11.5.
