Trinity Rowers Race At ECAC Regatta Friday In Worcester, Watch Live Coverage
Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College men's and women's rowing
programs will each compete in the Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) National Invitational Championship Regatta on
Friday, May 11 on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The
event also doubles as the New England Small College Athletic
Conference (NESCAC) Championship competition, as the league's
championship is awarded based on performance in the first varsity
eight grand final race at the ECAC Regatta. Fans can follow
all the action live via webcast courtesy the ECAC. Complete race schedules and
lane assignments will be available via Row2k. The Bantams
won the 2011 ECAC Combined Overall Points Trophy title with 143
points between the men's and women's programs, besting second-place
Williams by 10 points.
If the grand final at the ECAC-NIRC is not able to be conducted on
Friday at Lake Quinsigamond, the NESCAC championships, and along
with it the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA women's rowing
championship at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J. on May 25-26,
will be based on the results of the grand final from the New
England Rowing Championships.
