Trinity Women's Crews Score High Finishes At New England Championships
Worcester, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantam women's second-varsity four and third-varsity eight crews each recorded third-place finishes in grand final races, as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the New England Rowing Championships this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond. Trinity's second-varsity four finished its grand final with a time of 8:03.29, which was 4.99 seconds behind second-place Holy Cross and 7.38 seconds slower than first-place Bowdoin. Trinity's third-varsity eight finished its grand final with a time of 7:18.51, which was 9.91 seconds behind second-place Bates and 16.45 seconds slower than first-place Williams. The Bantams placed fifth in the team points standings, registering 71 points which was within 4.7 of three teams jammed from second to fourth behind first-place Williams' total of 102. The Bantam second-varsity eight added a fourth-place finish in the grand final, and its first-varsity eight earned sixth in its grand final.
