Trinity Women's Soccer Clobbers Connecticut College

Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Leigh Howard (Bethany, Conn.) scored two goals and collected an assist to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 4-0 win over the Connecticut College Camels in women's soccer action this afternoon on Campus Field.  Trinity improves to 3-2-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in the NESCAC with the win, while Connecticut falls to 3-6 overall and 0-5 in the league.

Howard's first goal came 2:12 into the game, which was all Trinity would need, as sophomore goalkeeper Lily Pepper (Princeton Junction, N.J.) and the Bantam defensive unit would go on to secure their fifth shutout this fall.  Trinity has allowed just three goals in seven games this season.

Senior Lauren Olson (Cheshire, Conn.) and junior Carly Westman (Newton, Mass.) added goals for the Bantams.  Pepper finished the game with fivee saves, while Connecticut senior goalkeeper Jenna Ross (Longmeadow, Mass.)
