Trinity Women's Soccer Team Announces 2011 Schedule
Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity women’s soccer squad, coached by Michael Smith (13th Season), has announced its schedule for the 2011 season. The Bantams posted a 7-4-4 overall record in 2010, and tied Middlebury for fourth place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with a 4-3-2 league mark. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the fourth consecutive season and the seventh time overall. Hosting the first NESCAC Championship game in the history of the program, the Bantams fell to Middlebury, 2-0, in the opening round.
The team takes on a tough schedule this fall, facing NESCAC rival Williams, ranked No. 6 in the country last year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The Bantams are also scheduled to play Oneonta State and Eastern Connecticut, ranked No. 13 and No. 14, respectively, by the NSCAA in 2010.
