    Women's Soccer 2016 Season Recap Hartford, Conn. – It was a milestone season for the Trinity College women's soccer team in 2016. The Bantams, coached by Michael Smith (20th season), finished the fall season with an 11-5-4 overall record and a 7-3 mark in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action to finish in fourth place and earn a bid to the league's championship tournament for the fourth straight season. After a quarterfinals win over Tufts, Trinity knocked off tournament host and No. 2 ranked Williams in penalty kick's in the NESCAC Semifinals to advance to the championship game for the first time in program history. Despite falling in the championship game, the Bantams earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament where they reached the second round before a 3-0 loss to the top-ranked team in the country, William Smith, ended their season.

    Trinity Fall Student-Athletes Earn NESCAC All-Academic Honors Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College fall athletic teams placed 45 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2016 Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Wednesday. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.40. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

Golf sophomore Jack Junge (Lincolnshire, Ill.) earned his first appearance on the team after earning All-NESCAC First Team honors earlier this fall, and was joined by men's cross country junior Kyle Larsson (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), women's cross country senior captain Sophie Long (Darien, Conn.), field hockey senior tri-captain Sydney Doolittle (Milford, Conn.), men's soccer senior captain Oliver Murphy (Montclair, N.J.), women's soccer junior Jillian Ramsay (Glastonbury, Conn.), football senior Patrick Dorsey (Lynn, Mass.), and volleyball senior tri-captain Rachel Huges (Boxborough, Mass.).
