Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore goalkeepers Lily Pepper (Princeton Junction, N.J.) and Allie Horwitz (Woodbridge, Conn.) combined for 17 saves to lead the Trinity College Bantams and the visiting Amherst College Lord Jeffs to a double overtime scoreless tie in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women’s soccer regular season finale for both teams afternoon.

Trinity Women’s Soccer Tops Bowdoin on Penalty Kick

Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain midfielder Lauren Olsen (Cheshire, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 1-0 win over the visiting Bowdoin College Polar Bears in women’s soccer action this afternoon.





Since 1997, the women's soccer team has made significant progress under Head Coach Michael Smith, competing effectively against nationally ranked teams and qualifying for the NESCAC Championship Tournament in 2007 and 2008. The program emphasizes a strong, consistent attack and dogged one-on-one defensive play. Increasingly successful at attracting top players, the team looks to qualify for the NESCAC and the NCAA championships each fall.
