Trinity's Jee Represents Women's Squash On NESCAC All-Academic Squad


Hartford, Conn., Aug. 6, 2009 - Trinity College women's squash junior co-captain Jo-Ann Jee (Kuching, Malaysia) was each selected to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team.  Each student-athlete selected to the NESCAC All-Academic Team must be a starter or a key reserve for a varsity team and maintain at least a 3.35 grade-point average. 

Trinity, coached by Wendy Bartlett (25th Season), posted a 12-3 overall record and won its third straight NESCAC Championship title.  The Bantams were selected for the CSA National Team Championship Tournament (Howe Cup) for the 14th straight season, advancing to the semifinals with a 7-2 win over Yale in the quarterfinal round.  Trinity lost a tough, 5-4 match to eventual champion Princeton before closing the season with a 5-4 triumph against Pennsylvania in the Third Place Match.

Jee, an All-American in 2008, an All-NESCAC First Teamer in 2009, and a two-time, NESCAC All-Sportsmanship selection, finished this season with an 11-4 record and won two of her three matches in the Howe Cup.  A graduate of St. Joseph's School, Jee is majoring in biochemistry at Trinity.  She is the daughter of Sally and Francis Jee.
