Women's Squash Pummels Princeton

Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's squash team defeated the No. 4-ranked Princeton Tigers on Saturday afternoon at the Kellner Squash Courts in Hartford in the team's regular season finale. The win improves the Bantams to 14-2 on the season as they lock up the No. 3 seed in next weekend's College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships (Howe Cup) at Princeton. Princeton finishes the regular season with an 11-3 record.

Trinity cruised to six sweeps on the afternoon en route to the 8-1 victory which was clinched after the second wave. Junior Julia LeCoq (Creteil, France) yielded just 13 total points to her opponent en route to the 3-0 win at the No. 6 spot in the Bantam ladder. Rookie Vanessa Raj (Teluk Kumbar, Malaysia) had a similarly impressive win at No. 3, allowing just 14 points from her Princeton counterpart.
