Trinity Women's Swimming And Diving Ends Year With Three Wins
Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantam women's swimming and diving team posted a 158-131 win over the visiting Roger Williams University Hawks in its final dual meet of the 2008-09 season. Trinity finishes with a 3-8 dual record for the year but with three straight wins.
Senior Regina Lea (Allentown, Pa.) and sophomore Brook Haynes (Franklin, Mass.) led the Bantams, as Lea finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (57.99) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.83) and second in the 50-yard freestyle (26.73). Haynes came first in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.38) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.26), while freshman Kate Bress (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) placed first in the 1-meter (222.30) and 3-meter (227.70).
