Trinity Women's Swimming And Diving Wins Handily At Roger Williams
Bristol, R.I. - First-year Chloe Miller (Anchorage, Alaska) won the 1,000-yard freestyle and led a 1-2-3 finish for her squad in the 400-yard individual medley to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 182-116 victory over the Roger Williams University Hawks in women's swimming and diving action this afternoon. Trinity closes the dual-meet season at 3-6, while the Hawks finish 2010-11 with a 5-3 dual-meet record.
Miller won the 1,000 free by over three seconds with a personal-best time of 11:26.44, while Miller, freshman Joanna Wycech (Star Babice, Poland), and sophomore Daisy Letendre (Florence, Mass.) recorded respective times of 4:50.75, 5:00.10, and 5:05.03 in the first three places in the 400-yard IM. Trinity sophomores Shelby Friel (Weston, Mass.) and Emily Jensen (Riverside, Conn.) also won two events, and rookie diver Emily Johnson (Reading, Mass.) broke her won school records off both boards. Johnson posted scores of 269.76 off the one-meter board and 249.37 off the three-meter board. Trinity foursomes also took first place in both the 200-yard medley, winning by just .62 seconds to open the meet, and the 400-yard freestyle relays.
