    Williamstown, Mass. - First-year Samantha McStocker (Weston, Conn.) finished sixth in the 50-yard backstroke with a school-record time of 27.02, as the Trinity College Bantams settled into ninth place after the first day of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Swimming and Diving Championship Meet at Williams College's Samuelson-Muir Pool.

    Middletown, Conn. - First-year Samantha McStocker (Weston, Conn.) won the 100-yard backstroke and finished second and third in the 100-yard IM and the 200-yard back, respectively, to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 186-186 tie against the Colby College Mules in a women's swimming and diving quad meet at Wesleyan University this weekend.

    Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College swimming and diving program has announced the hiring of Harry Traystman as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season. The Bantams, coached by Carlos Vega (4th season), have started the season strong and will host their first home meets this Friday, with the men's team challenging Wheaton and the women's team also facing Wheaton as well as Wellesley College.

    Clinton, N.Y. - First-year Samantha McStocker (Weston, Conn.) swept the backstroke events to lead the Trinity College Bantams to fifth place in the Hamilton College Women's Swimming and Diving Invitational this weekend at Bristol Pool.  Trinity totaled 438.5 points to settle in the exact middle of the team standings, over 100 points higher than sixth-place Mount Holyoke and 50.5 shy of fourth-place Oneonta State.
