Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams dropped decisions against both the Wellesley College Blue and the Wheaton College Lyons in their home opening meet this evening at Trinity Natatorium.  The Bantams received first-place finished from rookies Katherine Greer (Summit, N.J.), Samantha McStocker (Weston, Conn.), and Lia Urban-Spillane (Rochester, N.Y.), but fell short in the team-point totals to fall to 0-4 entering the semester break.  Wheaton, which also defeated Wellesley, 151-89, remains perfect in dual meets at 9-0, while the Blue are now 3-2.

Greer recording a winning time of 11:38.60 in the 1,000-yard freestyle in the first individual event of the meet, was immediately followed in second place by Trinity senior co-captain Cassidy Black (Dover, N.H.) who finished in 11:44.50.  McStocker won the 100-yard backstroke at 1:00.39 and added a runner-up finish in the 100-yard IM at 1:02.77, and Urban-Spillane posted a first-place score of 232.5 off the one-meter diving board.  Bantam sophomores Nina Tzianabos (Reading, Mass.) and Audrey Ettinger (New Canaan, Conn.) added second-place times of 26.00 and 1:01.70 in the 50-yard free and the 100-yard fly, respectively.  In relays, McStocker, Tzianabos and rookies Grace Gorman (Sudbury, Mass.) and Julia Greenbaum (Winchester, Mass.) came in second in the 200-yard freestyle race with a time of 1:44.60 that was just .40 seconds behind the winners.
