Trinity Drops Last Women's Swimming And Diving Dual Meet At Connecticut College

New London, Conn. -Trinity College first-year Samantha McStocker (Weston, Conn.) won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:09.93, as the visiting Bantams closed the 2017-18 dual-meet season with a 211-80 loss to the Connecticut College Camels in women's swimming and diving action this afternoon.  Trinity ends the regular slate with a record of 2-7-1, while the No. 23-ranked Camels finish at 5-2.  Trinity will compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Meet on February 16 to 18 at Williams College.

McStocker posted Trinity's first top-three finish of the day with a second-place time of 59.87 in the 100-yard backstroke, and the Bantams took two of the top three in the 200-yard race when sophomore Katrina Trentos (Wilton, Conn.) came in third behind McStocker at 2:19.56 to edge the fourth-place swimmer from Connecticut College by just .04 seconds.  All three Trinity divers, rookie Lia Urban-Spillane (Rochester, N.Y.), senior captain Bailey D'Antonio (Portland, Maine), and freshman Jazmin Johnson (Kennewick, Wash.) posted scores over 200 off the one-meter board, and Urban-Spillane and D'Antonio were both above 225 off the three-meter board.
