Hartford, Conn. – Trinity first-year Shelby Friel (Weston, Mass.) and the 800-yd. freestyle relay team broke pool records in a 176-116 win over Roger Williams this afternoon in women's swimming and diving action.

Trinity Women's Swimming And Diving Loses To Bowdoin And Colby

Middletown, Conn. – Freshman Shelby Friel (Weston, Mass.) won the 100-yard butterfly with a College-record time of 1:00.53, as the Trinity College Bantams dropped decisions against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears and the Colby College Mules in women’s swimming and diving action at Wesleyan University this afternoon. Trinity lost to Bowdoin, 200-89, and to Colby, 190-100, and falls to 3-6. Friel broke the previous record, held by sophomore teammate Brooke Haynes (Franklin, Mass.) by 0.08 seconds and won the race by 0.29 seconds.

Friel Leads Trinity Women's Swimming And Diving Past Brandeis

Hartford, Conn. - Freshman Shelby Friel (Weston, Mass.) won the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, the 100-yard butterfly, and swam a leg of the record-breaking, first-place foursome in the 400-yard freestyle relay to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 167-120 win over te visiting Brandeis Univesity Judges in women's swimming and diving action this afternoon at Trinity Natatorium.

Trinity Women Win At Mount Holyoke In The Pool

South Hadley, Mass. – With senior Nicole Albino (Cheshire, Conn.) leading the way, the Trinity College women’s swimming and diving team downed Mount Holyoke College, 134-108, this evening at the Mount Holyoke Natatorium.





Trinity's men's and women's swimming and diving, coached by Kristen Noone, consistently performs well at NESCAC Championships and annually sets new varsity records.  The student-athletes also do well in the classroom, earning national academic team awards every semester since 1996.
