Trinity's Tramont Reaches "B: Flight Finals in ECAC Women's Tennis Championships
Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College senior co-captain Amanda Tramont (Miami, Fla.) defeated sophomore teammate Jillian Steckloff (Framingham, Mass.) in the semifinals but lost in the finals to Bowdoin College freshman Emily Lombardi (Hinsdale, Ill.) in the "B" flight of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Tennis Championships this weekend at Trinity Courts. The Bantams split their squad and group "A" finished the event with 8.5 points and in a third-place tie with the Connecticut College Camels, while group "B" totaled seven points. Bowdoin won the title with 15 points.
Trinity senior co-captain Sarah Gould (Longmeadow, Mass.) and sophomore Arielle Leben (New York, N.Y.) each played into the flight "A" semifinals, while junior Kristina Pappas (East Longmeadow, Mass.) reached the "D" flight semis, and sophomore Elizabeth Ortiz (Pasadena, Calif.) downed classmate Sky Livingston (Nahant, Mass.) in the "C" flight consolation finals. Bowdoin junior Brett Davis (Larchmont, N.Y.) won the "A" singles flight.
