Trinity Women's Tennis Closes Fall Season At New England Tournament
Amherst, Mass. - The Trinity College women's tennis team completed the 2009 fall season in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament, hosted by Amherst, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges this weekend. The Bantams split their squad into four teams of two, giving Trinity two entries in the "A" flight and two in the "B" flight. The tournament format had each pair play a doubles match together and one singles match each against the pair from another school and the winner of the best-of-three moved on to the next round. Trinity's No. 4 pair of freshmen Paige Warren-Shriner (Brattleboro, Vt.) and Lydia Kay (LaCanada, Calif.) accounted for the team's top performance, winning two out of its three matches for the weekend.
