Trinity Women's Tennis Players Compete In ITA Championships At Bates
Lewiston, Maine - Sophomore Senzo Mauve-Maphisa (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) won her first round match, as the Trinity College Bantams competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Regional Women's Championships at Bates College this weekend. Mauve-Maphisa won, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5, over Sally Wilkey, of Middlebury, before falling to Kristin Alotta, of Williams, in the second round. Bantam senior captain Kelsey Semrod (Princeton, N.J.) and junior Hillary Hoyt (New York, N.Y.) lost first-round matches, while Semrod and lost in doubles in the opening round.
