Trinity Women's Tennis Doubles Teams Narrowly Miss Advancing In Gail Smith Tourney

Hartford, Conn. – Four doubles teams from the Trinity College Bantam women's tennis team competed in the Gail Smith Doubles Tournament at Middlebury College this morning.  Trinity junior Hillary Hoyt (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore Senzo Mauve-Maphisa (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) came the closest to advancing out of round robin play, winning twice and losing, 9-8 (4) in their third match to a duo from Skidmore.  Trinity sophomores Caroline Gagne (Excelsior, Minn.) and Taylor Wilkins (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) also went 2-1 in round-robin play.
