Trinity Women's Tennis Blanks Babson In California

Claremont, Calif. - The Trinity College Bantams dominated play from beginning to end on its way to a 9-0 victory over the Babson College Beavers in women's tennis action this afternoon at the Hotel Claremont. Trinity, ranked No. 8 in the Northeast and No. 21 in the nation, improves to 3-1 with its second win in as many days, while the Beavers fall to 9-6.

First-year No. 1 Melita Ferjanic (Samobor, Croatia) and junior No. 5 Senzo Mauve-Maphisa (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) each recorded perfect, 6-0, 6-0 singles victories, while senior co-captain Frances Cameron (Mill Valley, Calif.) yielded just one at the No. 6 position, and rookie No. 3 Morgan Feldman (Upper Brookville, N.Y.) won, 6-0, 6-2.  Trinity won the doubles matches by a combined score od 24-8 and a took singles play, 72-9.
