Claremont, Calif. - The Trinity College Bantams recorded a 9-0 victory over the California Lutheran University Regals this afternoon in women's tennis action. Trinity, ranked No. 8 in the Northeast and No. 21 in the nation, improves to 4-2, while the Regals fall to 4-11 with their eighth consecutive setback.
Trinity dominated doubles play, winning three points by a combined score of 24-7. In singles, senior co-captain Hillary Hoyt (New York, N.Y.) and junior Caroline Gagne (Excelsior, Minn.) won the most lopsided matches, 6-2, 6-0, and 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively.
