Waltham, Mass. - The Trinity College Bantams lost for the first time in seven matches, suffering a 7-2 setback against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers in the semifinals of the Nor'Easter Bowl Women's Tennis Tournament at Brandeis University this afternoon. Trinity, ranked No 14 nationally, falls to 7-2 and No. 17-ranked MIT improves to 13-2. The Bantams will face No. 19-ranked Skidmore, whom Trinity defeated, 7-2, at home on March 8.
Trinity trailed, 3-0, after doubles play, and lost four of six singles matches. Trinity sophomore Morgan Feldman (Upper Brookville, N.Y.) won, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 2 and senior Elizabeth Gerber (Bethesda, Md.) won a marathon victory at No. 5, 7-5, 4-6, 10-6, for the Bantams.
