Trinity Women's Tennis Falls to Wesleyan

Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis team dropped a 8-1 match on Wednesday afternoon, at home against the No. 8 ranked Wesleyan University Cardinals. Trinity falls to 3-9 overall with the loss while the Cardinals improve to 8-4. Wesleyan swept doubles action by claiming all three matches by scores of 8-1. The Cardinals dominated singles play by winning No. 1 through No. 5 by combined scores of 35-1 in the first and second set. Freshman Jane Weber (Winchester, Mass.) ended the shutout with a victory in the No. 6 spot over Wesleyan's Ella Lindholm-Uzzi (Germantown, N.Y.) for the Bantams lone win of the day. The Bantams return to action on Saturday, April 30, for the final regular season match of the year at home against Skidmore.
