Trinity Women's Tennis Wins First Dual Match In Dramatic Fashion Over Kenyon

Claremont, Calif. - First-year Zoe Lindbloom (Wayzata, Minn.) won the clinching point, 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles position with the teams tied, 4-4, leading the Trinity College Bantams to a 5-4 victory over the Kenyon College Ladies in women's tennis action this afternoon at Biszantz Family Tennis Center.  The match was the first of the year for the Bantams and the first for first-year Trinity Head Coach Lori Shulman while the Ladies drop to 3-4 with their second setback in a row.

Trinity took a 2-1 lead after doubles play thanks to an 8-3 win by Lindbloom and fellow rookie Jane Weber (Winchester, Mass.) at third doubles and a 9-7 victory by senior captain Melita Ferjanic (Samobor, Croatia) and junior Vanja Babunski (Belgrade, Serbia) at first doubles.Kenyon won at the bottom three spots on the singles ladder, while Ferjanic and Babunski won easily at the top-two positions in singles for the Bantams.
