Middletown, Conn. - The Trinity College women's tennis team fell, 8-1, to No. 6-ranked Wesleyan University on Wednesday afternoon in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) action in Middletown. Trinity falls to 5-5 overall and 0-3 in conference action while the Cardinals improve to 7-1 on the year and 2-1 in league play.
The Cardinals swept singles play with Trinity's lone point coming via a win at No. 1 doubles. Junior captain Vanja Babunski (Belgrade, Serbia) and rookie Julia Brogan (Falmouth, Maine) took down Wesleyan's top pair, 8-4. The Bantams return to action on Saturday morning at home when they play hosts to Connecticut College.
