Wendy Bartlett is entering her 26th year as head coach of the Trinity College women's tennis team. Bartlett has compiled an impressive dual-match record of 188-111-1 and her squads are consistently among the top teams in New England. In 2008-09, the Bantams recorded a 12-6 record and finished eighth in the NESCAC with a 3-3 conference mark. The team qualified for the six-team, NESCAC Championship Tournament to determine the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Bartlett has guided Trinity to the NCAA Tourney four different times.
Bartlett earned her bachelor's degree from Rollins College and
her master's degree in physical education from Central Connecticut
State University. Before coming to Trinity, she was the director of
racquet sports at the Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, PA. Also
Trinity's head women's squash coach, Bartlett is an associate
physical education professor at the College.
Joanne Schickerling starts her second season as an assistant
women's squash and women's tennis coach at Trinity. Schickerling
graduated from Indiana State University in 2008 with a degree in
excercise science, after a successful tennis career. Schickerling
is also a highly-skilled squash player and a certified 1 level
coach in her native country of South Africa. Schickerling is
pursuing a master's degree at Trinity as a graduate assistant.
