Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College first-year Melita Ferjanic (Samobor, Croatia) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year, while assistant coach Joanne Schickerling received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Region Division III Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

Trinity's Ferjanic Selected To Play In NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Tournament

Hartford, Conn. - Trinity College first-year Melita Ferjanic (Samobor, Croatia) was one of 32 players selected to play in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship Tournament on May 23-25 at Kalamazoo College. Ferjanic was 12-8 in 2012-13, playing the entire season at the top of the Trinity lineup. The Bantams, coached by Wendy Bartlett (29th Season), were 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the NESCAC this spring.

Amherst, Mass. - Sweeping doubles action, the No. 3-seeded Bowdoin College women’s tennis team shut out the No. 6-seeded Trinity College Bantams, 5-0, in the opening round of the 2013 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Tournament.Trinity, ranked No. 21 in the nation, drops to 11-7. Bowdoin advances to tomorrow’s second round where they square off with No. 2-seeded Williams.

Trinity Women's Tennis Ends Dual-Match Season With Win At No. 19-Ranked Skidmore

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Trinity College Bantams edged out the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds, 5-4, in a match-up of nationally ranked teams this afternoon at Skidmore. Trinity, ranked No. 21 in the nation, completes its dual-match season a 11-6, while Skidmore, ranked No. 19 nationally, drops to 9-7. The Bantams came back from a 3-0 deficit after doubles play with wins in five of the six singles matches.
