Three Trinity Throwers Earn All-New England Women's Track Honors

Bantams Take 11th, Ciarleglio Wins Javelin
Springfield, Mass. - Freshman Sarah Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) won the javelin throw title with a distance of 136'11" to lead the Trinity College Bantams to 11th place in the New England Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet this weekend at Springfield College. Trinity finished with 19 points, which was six points shy of 10th-place Brandeis. MIT won the meet with 152.5 points.
Trinity sophomores Laura Komarek (Plymouth, Minn.) and Monete Johnson (Dorchester, Mass.) placed fourth and fifth in the shot put with respective throws of 39'10.50" and 39'00.50". All three earn All-New England recognition for their fine performances.
