Trinity Women's Track And Field Finishes 24th At New England Open Meet
Amherst, Mass. - Freshman Sarah Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) finished third in the javelin throw with a distance of 137'09", as the Trinity College women's outdoor track and field team finished 24th in the New England Open Championships at the University of Massachusetts this weekend.
Sophomore Laura Komarek (Plymouth, Minn.) placed 14th overall in the shot put, throwing a distance of 11.77m. Ciarlegio, who finished first in the NESCAC javelin throw title last week, was within just 1.55 meters of first place at UMass.
